Lego Star Wars #7146 Tie Fighter It’s a great thing to have when you’re a Jedi Knight, but the Force is completely unnecessary when it comes to putting together LEGO kit number 7146, the Star Wars TIE Fighter. That’s because the timeless LEGO interlocking system of components–delighting youngsters since “A long time ago”–makes this tie-in to Star Wars a literal snap. The 169 pieces (including blocks, panels, and a few novelties such as a pair of armored soldiers with removable helmets) and full-color assembly instructions provide an effortless pairing of two classic originals. –Tony Mason Customer Review: “display stand” The TIE “display stand” actually is used for refilling the fuel tank. Also, TIEs cannot land on their wings without damaging them. The “display stand” is of much use. Customer Review: Scrap the display stand, this thing is FUN!!!!! The Tie is a great lego set! It comes with a one-of-a-kind Imperial Pilot and a sort-of-rare Stormtrooper. No offense to those of you who like models, but I see completely NO USE FOR THE DISPLAY STAND! With twin laser cannons, huge wings, cool cockpit, neat minifigures, HOW COULD YOU EVER LET IT ROT AND WASTE AWAY ON A STUPID OLD DISPAY STAND?!?!?!? I think this Twin Ion Engine masterpiece is the key to lego fun! OTHER FEATURES:Wings can come off to customize or simulate crash. If you don’t want the display stand (like myself) it can be converted into a fuel station, super blaster and more! Cockpit (With a cool design) opens up and locks when closed to stop annoying,unwanted,mid-play cockpit openings. Altogether, the Tie Fighter is a superb set and I’d give it 1,000,000 stars if I could! BUY THIS SET IF YOU CAN!!!!!

The 400 Blows [Blu-ray] The knowing yet innocent face of Jean-Pierre Leaud, the 14-year-old star of The 400 Blows, is the heartbreaking core of Francois Truffaut’s most intimate film. As Antoine Doinel, Leaud begins his career as director Truffaut’s alter-ego, a young boy neglected by his mother and stepfather who, to cover his absence at school, tells a lie that leads him to run away from home and end up in reform school. There’s nothing remarkable or surprising about the plot; the power of this film comes from how completely it draws you into Antoine’s life. Antoine is a vivid, natural presence, one of the most compelling collaborations between a writer/director and an actor. The movie seems to capture him as he lives. Antoine endures his parent’s indifference, humiliations at school, deprivation and juvenile delinquency–yet the movie never feels pitying or condescending, as if it were trying to rub your nose in Antoine’s suffering. On the contrary: His resilience is what grabs you, his refusal to be broken down as he struggles towards a more adult understanding of the world. Truffaut and Leaud made many excellent films together (Day for Night, Two English Girls), including further chapters in Antoine’s life (Bed and Board, Stolen Kisses), but none were quite as simple, rich, and devastatingly potent as The 400 Blows. (The title, incidentally, refers not to abuse or anything sexual, but is a French idiom for a wild and unruly youth or “raising hell.”) –Bret Fetzer Customer Review: A film that will literally blow you away… In all my movie watching and movie reviewing I tend to praise a lot of work. As you glance over my past reviews (if you so chose to ever do so) you will see a lot of `five-star’ or `Grade A’ reviews, yet in all honesty there are rarely times when I am so enamored by a film I am moved to claim it a masterpiece. Sure, I may say that a film is a genre masterpiece (I think I made that claim when speaking of `The Dark Knight’) but for a film to transcend genre and become a clear and present masterpiece of film it has to have that extra something that is rarely found in films; that extra connective tissue that links its importance, its soul to our soul and thus becomes a part of us.

Clarks Women’s Facet Wedge Clarks creates an masterpiece with the gorgeous Facet wedge sandals from the Artisan Collection. Metallic or matte leather upper in a thong sandal style with a round open toe. A rolled leather toe thong post joins a geometric vamp with circular cutouts. Faux leather lining and cushioned logo footbed with whipstitched faux leather seaming. 1/2 inch leather wrapped midsole, flat traction rubber outsole. 2 3/4 inch leather wrapped wedge heel. Customer Review: cute gladiator sandal but a bit too wide A bit on the wide side, and if you are looking for a pure white sandal, this isnt the one for you as it has a more beige opalescent shade to it. Customer Review: I would buy again Love the look of these. Just sorry they laser cut the upper. They’re gonna be a band-aid nightmare to break in.
