Scotts 2000-20 20-Inch Classic Push Reel Lawn Mower The Scott’s classic reel mower is light, maneuverable, and economical. The business end of this push reel mower is solid, sharp, and everything a reel mower should be, with five heat-treated, knife-sharp steel blades that can be adjusted for nine grass heights with very easy wheel tabs. With its 10-inch wheels, radial tires, and 20-inch cutting width, this mower should enable you to cross whatever terrain and reach whatever hard-to-access rogue patches of grass you desire. There’s no soft cushion on the handle, which is too bad, but otherwise, the Scotts Classic is a durable, well-constructed, simple device.
Customer Review: Plastic Drive Gears Fail After One Season of Moderate Use.
The drive gear from the wheel to the metal axle is made of plastic and the small contact area failed after first season and now the blades do not spin. We have a quarter acre of sparse lawn and we did not abuse the mower. Dear manufacturer, cutting weight & cutting cost does not necessarily equal cutting grass.
Customer Review: Love it! I am very pleasantly surprised by this little mower!
I an unsure as to what some are complaining about with this little mower. It IS a reel mower after all, and powered up by me, not oil and gasoline. I LOVE this little mower! I just got it last week, did nothing but pull it out of the box, put it together, which was a breeze, and starting cutting grass! My yard is 1/2 acre in size, with half of that being fairly flat, with a slight grade to it, and then my front and back yards both have slopes in them, with a constant upgrade in the backyard. Going up that hill was tough, only because I have allowed myself to get so out of shape. The mower itself was fine, and cut the grass great! It was me needing to stop and catch my breath every few “laps” on that backyard, and parts of the front, but that was not the mower’s fault. That’s me, getting myself back into better physical shape for using this little mower.
