LEGO Star Wars B-Wing Fighter Long-awaited by fans and collectors, this B-Wing fighter model is an excellent replica of the spaceship rebel forces used in Return of the Jedi’s Battle of Endor during the final defeat of the Death Star II and the Empire. A reissue of a formerly released B-Wing fighter set (7180), this ship is bigger than the original—standing 15 inches tall on the display stand–and has almost 100 more pieces (435 versus 338). Like the vessel in the movie, the fighter has wings that manually open from parallel to perpendicular and a rotating and self-leveling cockpit. Other features of the B-Wing include a hinged canopy on the cockpit and a missile launcher that shoots two missiles. A docking bay, which doubles as a display stand, holds the missiles and a selection of six tools. The set comes with two B-Wing pilot minifigs (Ten Numb and one unnamed pilot). These minifigs have flesh-toned skin instead of the more collectible yellow skin on the earlier Star Wars figures. Purists may also be disappointed that Lego includes decals to adhere to pieces in this set rather than going to the expense of painting designs directly on the bricks. The B-Wing fighter takes anywhere from two to four hours to build with some help from the illustrated instructions. The manual also contains a full inventory of all pieces with part numbers in case a piece is lost and builders need to order a replacement. –Cristina Vaamonde
Customer Review: #1 Lego star wars ship!! by Davin Felth
At first glance looks kinda silly. However when you look at it closely it is the most advanced set you can get for $30! With its rotating cockpit and shooting missiles (which i may ad have zippo range) are complex to put together for anyone under 6. Also the little base/stand thing is kind of stupid yet comes with lots of “rare” pieces. I would suggest for ages from 7-15. “he,s not worth anything to me dead.”Boba Fett!!!

LEGO Star Wars V-Wing Fighter Both original Star Wars fans and those just getting acquainted with the saga will enjoy putting together this replica of a V-Wing fighter from Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. This small model is only 8-1/2 inches long and, with 118 pieces, takes just 15 to 30 minutes to construct. It is a good beginner building set for younger kids and also suitable for collectors who aren’t looking for a huge building challenge. The ship features wings that fold in and out and a detachable canopy (although a hinged canopy would be preferable). One Clone V-Wing Pilot minifig comes with the set and fits within the fighter’s cockpit. The manual contains easy-to-follow illustrated instructions and includes a full inventory of all pieces with part numbers in case builders need to order a replacement. –Cristina Vaamonde
Customer Review: Lego V-Wing Fighter review (I couldn’t think of a better title! :(
I love this set. It’s a good set because there’s no “flick-fire missle” crap on it. (The flick-fire missle feature on any set is usually crap). Ok, I’m calming down now. It’s really durable; very solidly built when fully assembled. It also looks like the real thing from the movie. It really is a great set!!!
Customer Review: This thing should not cost more than $10.
I don’t know why Amazon insists on charging so much. It sells nearly everywhere else for considerably less than the $32 at which it is currently offered.
